Sunday Brunch in Your Jersey Pocket
Late last month Honey Stinger launched a new flavor to their line of waffles that taste just like Sunday brunch with pancakes and syrup. The Short Stack waffle is tasty and satisfying but not overly sweet. I found the 150-calorie waffle just the right amount of nutrition to keep me going during a 40-mile ride.
According to the company, the waffle is perfect for before or during an activity. The energy in the waffle is released immediately and absorbed at a steady rate, which delays muscle fatigue.
Like other varieties of Honey Stinger’s Classic Waffles, the Short Stack is made with non-GMO, organic ingredients and True Source Certified Honey. They are individually wrapped and fit perfectly in a jersey pocket.
If you like pancakes, try the new Short Stack on your next ride. It’s like carrying brunch in your pocket.

Sheri, did you have any problems with the waffles crumbling as you unwrapped or ate them? I’m wondering if my last attempt to eat a Honey Stinger package full of crumbs was just an anomaly. (I hope so because they were delicious crumbs!)
Dan,
I find that Honey Stinger and UnTapped waffles do crumble a bit on the edges, but it’s minimum. I usually drop those on the ground for critters to eat. I find placing it in the center Jersey pocket so it sits flush with my back works best to limit the crumbs.

Thanks, Sheri! My wife makes bars with sticky rice — no crumbs! — but I sure like those Honey Stinger waffles, too. I’m willing to experiment with the center pocket strategy, all in the name of disinterested scientific research, of course! Dan
