A Game Changer in Waterproof Socks
It’s been over four years since I reviewed Shower Pass Cross Point waterproof socks (read the review here), and they recently released an updated version. The Cross Point Superlight waterproof socks are the company’s lightest version yet. They recommend these socks for warmer weather, close-fitting footwear, or a more minimalist feeling on foot, and are ideal for cycling, general outdoor space, hiking, fishing, etc.
The socks feature a three-layer construction: a durable nylon outer layer, a breathable waterproof membrane, and a moisture-wicking Coolmax liner. The design of the wicking liner and breathable membrane manages sweat, allowing vapor to escape to keep your feed comfortable. The nylon outer liner prevents rain and moisture from entering.
After trying them on for the first time, I immediately noticed the fabric’s softer feel. Long gone is a rubbery inner lining that has now been replaced with a new moisture-wicking Coolmax polyester lining that is next to skin soft. The new fabric is more pliable, and the proprietary 3-D lamination ensures the best fit, making it easier to put on and remove from your foot. Yes, no more tugging.

Currently, the socks are only available in black. The crew length is perfect for mountain biking, CX, or commuting. A pop of yellow at the top back of the cuff adds visibility in low-light conditions.
These waterproof socks are available in extended sizing for men and women. Note that if you are between sizes, the company advises sizing up. I wear a 45 EU, and the L/XL version fits like a glove, or should I say sock?

Bottom Line
The Shower Pass Cross Point Superlight waterproof socks significantly improved over their predecessors. With a softer feel, better fit, and enhanced flexibility, they provide excellent comfort and protection in a lightweight package. If you’re looking for a quality, waterproof sock, these are definitely worth considering. For only $47 per pair, your feet will be dry, comfortable, and happy.

Sheri, can you comment on their breathability and waterproofing? So much clothing is clammy, and as someone who always sweats in my feet I can’t imagine that a sock could actually breathe off the moisture.
Sheri, can you comment on the breathability and waterproofing of the sock? My feet always sweat and I can’t imagine any product I’ve used that would allow moisture to leave the sock in sufficient quantity for increased comfort, especially when waterproof.
