BRANWYN

Merino Wool: A Game-Changer for Sports Bras

BRANWYN has introduced its first Merino wool racerback sports bra. It is highly compressive and keeps the “girls” in place. The seamless construction virtually guarantees no chaffing, even after wearing it all day.

Initially, I found the bra challenging to put on and take off due to its snug fit. However, after a few wearings and washings, the four-way stretch knit fabric had a little more give. With this said, if you have flexibility issues and have difficulty with other racerback bras, this might not be the one for you.

The bra’s body-mapped contours provide additional support and separation for an attractive silhouette. Due to the racerback design, the straps come up high along the neck for support. When I peeked at online customer reviews, several women mentioned they had issues with the strap location.

I wore the bra cycling in temperatures from 50 to 85 degrees F. It was comfortable, and I appreciated the many outstanding properties of Merino wool offers ― moisture-wicking, breathable, odor-resistant, and temperature-regulating.

Depending on the amount of compression desired, size up or down accordingly.

Extending sizing is available (XS to 2XL), so depending on the amount of compression desired, size up or down accordingly. I opted for a size large for more compression, as I typically wear a 38B. The bra also features slots for removable pads, offering additional coverage however the pads are not included.

The company recommends washing the bra by hand or machine in cold water and laying it flat to dry. The quick-drying nature of merino wool dries fast, making this bra the perfect travel accessory and an excellent option for various sports, including cycling, hiking, and running.
