Initial Thoughts
As a bike fitter I have to make saddle and handlebar adjustments for most customers. A torque wrench is a required tool to tighten these bolts and screws regardless of tightening carbon or aluminum. Over-tightening the clamping force on carbon parts can crack the carbon, and overtightening steel screws into aluminum parts can pull the threads out of the aluminum. So, along with a goniometer, a torque wrench is just as important.
Unboxing this torque wrench, I could both see and feel the quality. This torque wrench has an adjustable preset range of 4-20Nm with 1 full Nm added with every 1 full turn of the handle and ½ Nm with ½ turn of the handle. The head has a forward and reverse and there is even a high-quality S2 hardened steel 9-piece bit set.
I’ve only had this torque wrench one day and already have used it for two customers. The only thing I need to get for this tool is a ¼” drive long 4mm bit to adjust their stems. This is because some customers come in with head unit mounts that extend longer than a torque wrench with a regular bit can reach. Until then, I just loosen the mount and twist it out of the way.
So far, this torque wrench has performed flawlessly. With the included calibration report, I feel confident I am applying the correct torque to my customers bicycle parts.
Included Certification Of Calibration Report
Applied Torque Nm | Test Readings Nm | Error | Error % | |
Clockwise | 4 | 4.05 | 0.05 | 1.25% |
12 | 12.06 | 0.06 | 0.50% | |
20 | 20.19 | 0.19 | 0.95% |
Most won’t care about these results but, to me, this shows QUALITY!

Summary
This tool is competitively priced and the tool’s quality is much higher than its competitors.
