In late June, Topeak introduced several new products that bode well for all types of riders including road, gravel, trail or MTB. Topeak sent them to me for review. From their new mini multi-tool to two new pumps, these products will get you going quickly and keep you rolling. I’ve been carrying the Mini P20 tool and the Roadie TT pump with me on rides, fitting them both easily in my hydration pack. And as we’ve come to expect over the years, Topeak has delivered great quality and performance gear.
Topeak products are available online or in select shops.

Topeak’s new 20 function mini multi-tool comes with its own neoprene storage pouch and compact enough to stow in a saddlebag, hydration pack or jersey pocket. This handy tool might be small but it gets the job done. When using the wrenches, extend the tools for extra leverage to tighten or loosen a bolt. The Mini P20 also comes with integrated master link and chain tools for quick repairs. Lastly, the knife blade has a lock, with an audible click, for added safety when cutting or sawing.

Like the Mini P20, this pump is small enough to fit in a jersey pocket, frame bag or hydration pack. Or, carried on the bike with the mounting bracket included with the pump.
Don’t let the small size fool you, this mini pump transfers larges amounts of air to fill your tire quickly. A thumb lock lever ensures an air-tight seal and keeps the pump solidly attached to the stem valve when pumping. Note this pump works only with Presta valves and not Schrader.

JoeBlow Sport 2 stage floor pump 2020
https://www.topeak.com/us/en/products/floor-pumps/1293-JOEBLOW%20%E2%84%A2%20SPORT%202STAGE

When you have multiple discipline bikes in your garage, there’s a need for both a high pressure and high volume pump. The high volume will take care of MTB and fat bikes, while the high pressure will address your road bike. The JoeBlow Sport has a 2-stage design to deliver both high pressure and high volume in one pump. Stage 1 opens both barrels of the pump to provide the volume of air needed to pump up large tires from 0-30 psi. Stage 2 uses the small barrel delivering pressures from 30-160 psi. To see exactly how the two stages work, view Topeak’s video.
The large 3” analog dial is located about a quarter way up the barrel. I’m not sure why Topeak didn’t move it up even higher to make it even easier to see. The handle is also oversized and feels comfortable in your hands when pumping.

I want to see in real-time video proof of someone taking a completely flat tire and filling it to 110 psi using that Mini P20 pump, while they count the strokes it takes to get there…IF it gets there! And I’ll place bets that no human can get that Mini P20 pump to fill a track tire to 160 PSI!
Don’t get me wrong, I like Topeak products, I use some of them myself, but I think Topeak, like almost all other pump manufacturers, they overstate their pump’s abilities by a huge margin, and this one in particular due to its diminutive size. I’ve tried a lot of pumps and sent most of them back for failure to get to even 70 psi not alone the advertised 160 psi they boast about. The pumps I found so far that can reach 120 psi, never tried 160 just too much work, was Lezyne Road Drive and Topeak Race Rocket HP and HPX, I’m sure they’re might be a couple of others but not more than a couple of others.
You’re better than me – I never got my mini pump (Crank Brothers I think) to go over 60 psi, and boy did it take a lot of effort.
Fred,
I’m able to get it up around 70 psi with little effort and I’m not that strong in the upper body. Most road tires these days are wider and don’t require more than 80-90 psi. If I get some time, I’ll shoot you a video demonstrating pumping past 70psi. But at least 70 will get you rolling again and back home.

Presumably this page is a paid ad? I hope Topeak paid RoadBikeRider well!

I can assure you Topeak only supplied the product. I was not paid for this product roundup.

The reason the Joe Blow pressure gauge is not further up the tube is probably safety. Earlier models were at the top and one blew up hitting a friend who was pumping it in the face. Came close to his eye but I don’t think he lost any sight. It was many years ago so i would imagine they’ve redesigned to avoid that problem.
