Would you ride your bike lugging 400 pounds of gear and supplies to support your spouse’s dream of running 2,112 miles across the Australian Outback? For Henley Phillips, the answer was a resounding “YES!” In 2019, Henley and his wife Katie Visco successfully made the 119-day journey. And yes, they are still happily married.
I had the privilege of interviewing the duo about their adventure, which is also the subject of a documentary released on Vimeo, Twenty-One Twelve: A Human Powered Adventure Across Australia.
Check out my blog and watch the interview to see how they managed when the going got tough, dealt with the insane heat, and cared for each other along the way. Katie and Henley’s journey is the true definition of teamwork. They pushed their limits to live their dreams.

Love this story – amazing! Just a typo in the first paragraph that threw me off for a while –
For Henley Phillips, the answer was a resounding “YES!” In 2019, Henley and his wife Katie Visco successfully made the 119-mile journey.
“mile” should be “day”
