Lightweight, breathable summer jersey
I have limited experience with the Sportful brand, but the jersey and bibs the rep sent me to test were impressive. The women’s Flow Supergiara jersey is stylish and comfortable. The full zip front makes for easy on/off, plus the bottom hem gripper elastic keeps the jersey in place while riding or walking around. A raw-cut sleeve cuff provides comfort and a smooth transition from fabric to skin without binding.
There’s more than enough rear jersey storage with six, yes six, back pockets. There are three traditional rear pockets, with three overlayed mesh pockets. I must admit, with the mesh overlay and six pockets, I had to hunt for what I was looking for.

The company placed subtle reflective elements on the shoulders and logos on the left chest and rear pocket for added visibility.
Sportful Ultra Women’s Bib Shorts

The Ultra bib shorts with the SMS chamois, minimum seams, and the four-way compressive fabric are incredibly comfortable and has quickly become a favorite. As with the jersey, the bibs offer a lot of storage options. There are two side pockets on the thigh to store your phone and nutrition safely, plus two mesh pockets on the waist, ideal for gel packs. The waist pockets are a little harder to reach, so I recommend small nutrition items you don’t need frequently.
The Ultra bibs use a magnetic hook to make for faster nature breaks.
As with many manufacturers of women’s bibs, Sportful has its unique design for addressing nature breaks. The Ultra uses a magnetic hook at the back of the bib strap, allowing you to pull down your bibs without removing a jersey. It sounds good in theory, but I found it cumbersome and needed to remove the jersey to reclip the straps.
Bottom line
The Sportful jersey and bibs come with tons of on-body storage: six rear jersey pockets, two thigh bib pockets, and another two pockets on the waistband. Combine the comfort and style of the Supergiara jersey with the Ultra bib shorts to look and perform great on the bike.
