Proviz REFLECT360 Neck Gaiter Quick Review

By Sheri Rosenbaum

Neck gaiters are one of the most versatile pieces of clothing you can wear cycling. It’s easy to pull up or down to control exposure to the elements. Gaiters are available in a variety of different fabrics, weights and a plethora of designs.

Recently, Proviz introduced the REFLECT360 neck gaiter with reflective strip on two sides to aid in visibility when out in low light situations. Just rotate the neck gaiter a quarter turn to position the strip so it’s visible from the sides or turn so it’s front and back.

Useful for cycling, running or hiking, the REFLECT360 is made from breathable, moisture-wicking fabric. I found the wind protection also to be good. When flat the gaiter measures 50cm x 24cm, providing ample fabric to pull up over your nose while still keeping your neck covered. Also, the size is perfect to transform it into a headscarf, bandana or beanie.

The REFLECT360 neck gaiter is available in red, blue, or black and costs only $15. It’s an inexpensive way to keep your face warm, as well as preventing cold air from getting in between the jacket collar and neck.

From what I’ve read gaiters are the least effective covid mask. Mostly due to fairly thin fabrics. I think the “Bicycling.com” site published a study on this. You can probably google it.

I have a gaiter I bought for X-country skiing. Biggest problem for glasses wearers is you can’t get a good seal at the top & your glasses fog. Maybe someone has suggestions about this.
