Comfort for Post-Workout Relief

OOFOS might be tricky to pronounce, but it offers a range of footwear that prioritizes foot recovery after workouts or rides. I had the opportunity to test two of their styles, the OOmega OOahh slide sandal, and the OOcloog recovery clog. Both models feature the innovative OOfoam™ technology, which boasts 37% higher impact absorption than traditional foam materials.

Comfort and Support

Slipping into a pair of OOFOS shoes, I immediately noticed the spacious toe box allowing natural toe splaying. The footbed provides good arch support, a feature often lacking in sandals and clogs. As someone with flat feet, these shoes had good arch support and should help prevent me from getting plantar fasciitis.

A study by the University of Virginia School of Medicine Speed Clinic revealed that when combined with OOfoam™, OOFOS’ footbed reduces ankle energy exertion by up to 47% compared to competitors’ footwear. This translates to easier walking and faster recovery.

Temperature Regulation

While the slide sandals and recovery clogs offered remarkable comfort, I found the synthetic material to be somewhat warm. The clogs feature ventilation holes along the sides, but they tended to retain heat even with or without socks. Similarly, when testing the slides without socks, I experienced some sweating and suction around the arch area, resulting in embarrassing noises while walking. This issue may be more pronounced for individuals with flat feet like mine.

Easy Maintenance

One notable advantage of OOFOS footwear is its closed-cell foam construction, making it machine washable. This feature ensures easy cleaning and helps minimize any potential odor buildup, even if your feet tend to sweat.

Bottom line

OOFOS recovery footwear provides comfort and support for post-workout recovery. Available in a wide selection of men’s and women’s sizes and various colors. The proprietary OOfoam™ technology and design elements like a roomy toe box and arch support make for post-ride happy feet.

I’ve been wearing OOFOS slides for about 1 year. They are super comfortable, helping my feet and legs recover after a ride. My daughter is a podiatrist and highly recommends them. My whole family has a pair and loves them.

I’m sorry for the pun, but what a crock. Recovery footwear?! Really?! Come on, this product i has at best a placebo effect. There is no evidence for so called recovery footwear.
