Nathan Sports recently released HyperNight reflective gloves ideal for running and cycling in temps ranging from 30-50 degrees F. These stretchy fleece-lined gloves have a reflective design on the top for increase visibility in low light situations. The palm and fingers have silicone grippers to prevent a smartphone or other item from slipping out of your hands. The grippers and fabric also allow for dexterity and a secure hold while on the bike.

Stay warm when stopping to make a call or take a picture as there’s no need to remove a glove. The conductive TruTouch technology located on the tip of the index finger makes it easy to operate a smartphone. Another thoughtful feature is the soft fabric located on the thumb area. It is perfect for wiping a runny nose on a cold ride.

A very, very small pocket (1¼”x 2”) is sewn into the top of each glove. According to the company’s website, it can be used for attaching a strobe light, keys, or cash. Honestly, it is so small I couldn’t fit a key or cash all the way into the pocket and if I could, I wouldn’t be secure. However, clipping a strobe light would probably work if the clip was strong enough and should only be used while running or walking. I wouldn’t recommend attaching a strobe while riding for fear of blinding oneself with the light when your hands are on the handlebars.

Lastly, the hangtag recommends hand wash only. Don’t put these gloves in the washing machine or dryer. But I feel it is well worth the added effort to keep these gloves performing all season long.

There is also a men’s version of these gloves in black.
