Valentines Day is Coming, Showing Your Bike Some TLC

For those like myself, winter means cold, snowy rides on the fattie or heading to the basement for a trainer ride. Unfortunately, with the frigid temps and short days of winter, I’ve been on my trainer sweating a lot. As the indoor miles buildup, it’s easy to forget how corrosive sweat can be on bike components. That’s why Muc-Off added an Indoor Training Kit to their product offering. This box of goodies has everything you need to keep that faithful steed clean, protected, and lubed. Oh, and they haven’t forgotten some chamois cream, as part of the kit, to keep you well lubed, too.

What’s in the Box?

Antibacterial Equipment Cleaner (500ML)

According to the company, the antibacterial formula kills 99.99% of bacteria and is safe to use on all surfaces (aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, plastic, and vinyl). I simply sprayed my bike frame, let it sit for a short bit, and wiped it clean with the microfiber towel provided in the kit. No rinsing is needed. The result was a shiny, clean bike. And like almost all the Muc-Off products, it is scented—this one is apple.

Sweat Protect (300ML)

This product prevents corrosion and rust buildup on metal surfaces caused by sweat, providing up to three months of protection before reapplying. You can use it on an indoor trainer and any other gym equipment in your pain cave.

C3 Ceramic Dry Chain Lube (50ML)

Don’t forget about your drivetrain. Be diligent about cleaning and lubing your chain. The drivetrain will last longer run quieter and smoother if you keep it properly lubed.

Microfiber Towel

A quality microfiber towel is the best way to have a beautiful, streak-free shine. Clean and polish the bike frame and keep it looking new.

Luxury Chamois Cream

Avoid saddle sores from those long hours on the trainer with Muc-Off’s chamois cream made from natural ingredients, including aloe vera, witch hazel, shea butter, and sunflower oil.

Muc-Off Tote Bag

The handy logoed tote bag fits all the contents of the indoor trainer kit, making it perfect for storage or transport.
