Best Cycling Gloves for Fall / Autumn Weather

‘Tis the season for cycling gloves that keep your hands warm when the temperatures dip, but aren’t so hot and bulky that your hands fry when it’s just a little too cold for short fingered gloves. We’ve rounded up the best cycling gloves to keep you pedaling with comfort during turbulent temperatures.

Pearl iZUMi Men’s Escape Thermal Glove

These long-fingered gloves from Pearl iZUMi are smooth, comfortable, and durable all at the same time. Made from a micro-suede synthetic palm material, the conductive synthetic leather index finger and thumb pads are touchscreen compatible. It also has reflective elements for low-light visibility.

Hincapie Power Merino Glove

Made from merino wool, these gloves from Hincapie both insulate and wick moisture to for comfort. The fingertips of these gloves are conductive for touchscreen use supposedly, although they don’t work that way for me. These gloves also have non-skid, silicone grips for handlebar feel and control. I’ve been wearing a pair of these for years, and they are my go-to gloves when I want something to keep my hands warm down to 40 or 45 degrees on faster paced rides, when my heart is pumping fast enough that I don’t need excessive warmth or wind protection.

Sealskinz makes a glove very similar to the Showers Pass waterproof knit glove listed, but with the electronic touch feature, it’s available from REI and other sources.

Thanks. Did the electronic touch feature work for you? I’ve had a hard time even with brands that say they have that feature.
