EZ-Clincher Pocket Tire Tool Review

By Jim Langley

One of the most frustrating things about fixing flats and changing out tires today is that not all tires are user-friendly to install. Some simply fit way too tight or don’t fit at all. And, even when a tire is an easy fit, it’s possible to mess up during the installation and make it difficult to install. Read more.

Could Tweaking Your Coffee Routine Help You Ride Better?

By Kevin Kolodziejski

According to the Spring 2020 National Coffee Data Trends survey, drinking coffee is a daily occurrence for 62 percent of Americans over the age of 17 — and they are far from sated by a single cup. The average drinker downs a bit more than triple that each day. Read more.

Bontrager Circuit Road Cycling Shoe

By Sheri Rosenbaum

This month, Bontrager updated one of their most popular road shoes, the Circuit. The Circuit is what I’d call an entry-level road shoe with a $134.99 price tag. It has the Bontrager inForm Race Last design and sole, which means it has a slightly roomier fit from the ball through the mid-foot. One of the guys in my dorm had a white Peugeot 10-speed and offered me the opportunity to ride it around the quad. It was like crack. I was instantly hooked. That was 1969. I’ve been riding thousands of miles a year since then. Someday, maybe I’ll get my form right. Read more.

Exercise to Reduce Risk for High Blood Pressure

By Gabe Mirkin, M.D.

The CARDIA study followed 5115 adults in nine separate examinations over a period of 30-40 years, from ages 18-60. By age 60, 73.1 percent of the subjects in this study had developed high blood pressure, and the lower the level of physical activity, the more likely a person was to develop high blood pressure. The researchers found that you can help to reduce your risk for high blood pressure after age 60 by exercising moderately for at least five hours weekly at a younger age, and continuing an exercise program into middle age and beyond.
