Wahoo Fitness Launches New Radar, Bike Computers at Sea Otter 2025

news

By Sheri Rosenbaum

Ahead of Sea Otter Classic opening on Thursday, Wahoo Fitness announced several new product launches. One new product I’m excited to check out while at the event is the company’s TRACKR RADAR. I always ride with a rear radar, even on the trails. It’s a great way to keep your eyes focused ahead while being alerted to cars or bikes overtaking from behind.

wahoo trackr
The Wahoo TRACKR RADAR’s built-in accelerometer allows the unit to function as a brake light.

At $199.99, the TRACKR RADAR is Wahoo’s first product in the bike radar and light category. Some of the key features of the unit include:

  • Vehicle warning: the radar system detects approaching cars behind, increasing the flash pattern.
  • Innovative safety: a built-in accelerometer allows the unit to function as a brake light, getting brighter when slowing down.
  • Simple connection: The TRACKR RADAR pairs with the ELEMNT head unit, as well as other compatible Bluetooth or ANT+ bike computers.
  • Ease of use: The dual mounting system also allows the TRACKR RADAR to be attached and removed easily from any bike.
  • Battery Extender Mode: Reduces luminosity to conserve battery when no vehicles are detected and can provide up to 20 hours of use.

The company has not provided an exact ship date for the TRACKR, except for “coming soon.” After speaking with the Wahoo team at Sea Otter, I hope to get more clarification on the timing.

In addition to the new rear radar, Wahoo is releasing its next-generation ELEMNT ROAM and BOLT computers. Both units will be available starting May 6, 2025.

Elemnt roam screen
The third-generation ELEMNT ROAM will be available May 6, 2025.

At $449.99, the all-new ELEMNT ROAM with a touchscreen combines a large, anti-glare display, convenience, and dynamic ride intelligence. Key features include:

  • Enhanced navigation and route management: Detailed maps with points of interest, elevation data, and road types combined with voice turn-by-turn directions.
  • Larger, 2.8″ high-contrast display: A 22% larger screen than BOLT with a higher resolution, anti-glare, and enhanced contrast, along with glove-friendly multi-touch capabilities (pinch, zoom, swipe).
  • Intuitive, connected experience: Connect to more third-party apps and services than ever before with expanded functionality and data sharing.
  • Wahoo’s “Ready to Ride” dashboard ensures that loading routes, syncing workouts, and checking battery or sensor status takes seconds—not minutes—so you can focus on the ride, not the setup.”
  • Up to 25 Hours of Battery Life: Enough power for extended adventures and back-to-back rides.
  • Modern design: A completely revamped user interface provides a clean look and feel.
Element bolt
Wahoo ELEMNT BOLT 3 launches May at Sea Otter this week.

At $329.99, the all-new ELEMNT BOLT combines a lightweight, race-ready, aero design with a larger, high-contrast 2.3″ display for crisp readability at any speed and in all conditions. Key features include:

  • High-Resolution Display: The new 2.3″ screen is optimized for clarity, even in bright sunlight.
  • Intuitive, connected experience: Connect to more third-party apps and services with expanded functionality and data sharing.
  • Wahoo’s “Ready to Ride” dashboard makes setup of activity types, routes, and workouts instant.
  • Up to 20 Hours of Battery Life: Enough power for a full day of riding.
  • Lightweight speed: Compact design minimizes weight without losing performance and functionality.

Watch for additional coverage of Wahoo’s new launch and other brands featured at this year’s Sea Otter.
