The latest addition to Velocio‘s Spring/Summer 2024 collection: a fresh colorway for their Ultralight and Utility bib shorts, designed for men and women. I was excited to try them out for the first time, and they didn’t disappoint. I paired them with a Luxe Sports Bra, ensuring ultimate comfort and performance during my indoor trainer rides and outdoor adventures.

Keeping Your Cool on Hot Summer Rides
These next-generation Velocio Ultralight bib shorts feature a high-performance, lightweight fabric but deliver higher compression than its predecessor. The bib’s breathable fabric is 30% lighter than a standard bib short, making it perfect for hot and humid days in the saddle.
The bib straps and leg grippers are made from seamless microfiber fabric. The bib straps are wide and very comfortable. However, I’d prefer a laser cut leg band instead of the microfiber fabric for a smoother transition from the bib to the leg.

The microfiber fabric causes sausage leg even on a thin model.
With the opaque material, you can confidently choose between black or navy without worrying about exposing yourself to the rear of the peloton. Adding a navy bib is a refreshing change from the standard black.

The Signature chamois combines anti-vibration with high-density support foam.
Both versions of the Ultralight bibs feature Velocio’s proprietary Signature chamois. I’m a big fan of this chamois as it has just the right amount of padding, combining anti-vibration with high-density support foam. The chamois design, combined with the compressive fabric, reduces fatigue, allowing for longer endurance rides.

Velocio’s FlyFree back makes nature breaks fast and easy.
Velocio has incorporated their FlyFree pee-break-friendly design for the women’s version. Simply squat and pull down the back portion of the bibs. Quick down and up, without the need to remove the bib straps or jersey.

Storage, storage, storage.

The bibs are perfect for your next gravel adventure, with two side pockets and one rear pocket. While the design and colorways of the bibs resemble the Ultralight version, the fabric used in the Utility bibs is unique. These bibs are made from a 100% recycled, ultra-lightweight material and prioritize sustainability without compromising performance. The women’s version of this bib model also features the FlyFree pee-break friendly design for added convenience.

Comfortable, Supportive, and Flattering
When it comes to sports bras, comfort, support, and a flattering fit are essential when wearing under a cycling jersey or workout top. Velocio’s LUXE bra meets all three criteria and comes in seven colors.
Let’s begin with comfort. The LUXE fabric is super soft with minimal seaming to minimize any chance of chaffing. The laser-cut ventilation holes in the front combined with the LUXE fabric for additional comfort and breathability. Moreover, the wide microfiber elastic straps are soft and don’t dig into your shoulders, eliminating discomfort.
Although Velocio markets the LUXE bra as suitable for low-impact activities like cycling, I, as a 38B, found the compressive fabric to offer medium support. However, individuals with a larger bust may have a different perspective on the level of support provided.
Furthermore, this bra is designed to flatter your figure under any outfit. The ample coverage and wide straps create a seamless transition from bra to skin, ensuring a smooth appearance without unsightly bumps or rolls.
While the LUXE bra is a bit pricey, its exceptional construction and high-quality fabric guarantee years of reliable use.
