Peppermint Cycling’s Women’s Signature Jersey, Bibs, and Socks

By Sheri Rosenbaum

Peppermint Cycling's Women's Signature Jersey bib demo

I wasn’t familiar with Peppermint Cycling until they contacted me to stop by their booth at Sea Otter Classic to view their 2025 Spring/Summer line. The company, founded in Montreal, Canada, designs cycling apparel for women. They feature comprehensive collections for road, mountain, and gravel riding.

Peppermint Cycling’s new Spring/Summer 2025 apparel includes:

Road: Completely redesigned Signature Jersey crafted for women featuring high-quality European fabrics, and an updated drop-seat Signature Bib for added convenience. The company furnished me with the new road kit to test, and my review is below.

Gravel: Updated to include the Signature Lightweight Button Down, Signature SS Tee, and Signature Cargo Bib and Shorts, now featuring abrasion-resistant fabrics for durability, increased storage solutions for long rides, and an Elastic Interface chamois designed for comfort over rugged terrain.

Mountain Bike: The Signature Pant and Overalls, as well as the Peak Short Sleeve and Long Sleeve Jerseys, are now constructed with durable, abrasion-resistant fabrics for enhanced longevity and performance. Knee pad compatibility ensures added protection for technical descents and aggressive trail riding.

The completely redesigned Signature jersey offers several improvements over its predecessor. The Italian high-performance fabrics with varied textures optimize breathability, moisture management, and muscle support. It is also quick drying, super soft against the skin, and provides sun protection. The fit is very flattering following a woman’s figure. However, I found that the shoulders were a little tight.

There’s a lightweight mesh panel under each arm to aid with breathability. A full-length zipper also helps with temperature control. While the main fabric has 50+ UPF sun protection, the low-profile collar lacks coverage to protect the back of the neck from sun exposure. The longer sleeve length offers muscle support and sun protection.

With the jersey redesign, the company improved the three rear pocket positioning to prevent items from bouncing on your lower back while riding. There’s also a zipper security pocket. The anti-slip silicone grippers at the waistband keep the jersey from riding up as you pedal.

My hottest ride testing the Signature Jersey and wearing a hydration pack was 86 degrees with high humidity. The fabric performed flawlessly, keeping me dry and comfortable.

Signature Bibs

Price: $168

Sizes: XS – 2XL

Bib colors: Black, Blush, Cloudy

Drop seat: Yes

Fit: True to size

UPF protection: 50+

Training for Unbound Gravel 100, I’ve been logging some long miles in the saddle. From the initial ride back in April, the Signature bibs have become one of my favorites. Besides the superb fit and comfortable chamois, its drop-bottom design is flawless, perfect for quick bathroom breaks. The location of the bib straps, combined with mesh panels, lets you use the bathroom without removing anything from the waist up. Leave your jersey, hydration pack, helmet, and sunglasses on. Simply pull the shorts down and go.

The Signature bib’s nature break design lets you use the restroom quickly, without removing your jersey, hydration pack, or helmet.

I have tested other bibs with a nature break design, but I found this one the easiest to use. Being 6 feet tall, sometimes I find the straps aren’t long enough or have enough stretch, thus forcing me to be crouched over in a fetal position to pull the shorts down. It can be comical, yet frustrating.

The overall fit of these bibs is flattering and comfortable. Designed by women, for women, the bibs incorporate a new curvy design, which follows a woman’s natural curves. The main fabric, Road Enduro Eco, is made from 78% recycled nylon and is UPF +50. I found the fabric had medium compression and would have preferred a touch more for some of my longer rides. The wide silicon gripper leg bands keep the shorts in place.

The Signature bibs use a very comfortable, premium chamois. Made by Elastic Interface® in Italy, the pad provides the right amount of padding and excellent moisture management. The company states the chamois is designed for rides lasting up to 7 hours. I would say that’s very accurate.

Initially, I was going to wear the Signature bibs for Unbound, but instead, I am using a different brand because their road design lacks cargo pockets. Also, I’ll be riding 9+ hours, and the seven-hour chamois may not withstand the long, intense gravel. Peppermint Cycling has a cargo bib, and hopefully they’ll send me a pair to test/review.

Signature Print Socks

Price: $19

Sizes: S/M (5-7.5), M/L (8-10)

Colors: Frenzy-Fierce, Wild-Rosewood, Silhouette-Cloudy, Blitz-Cloudy

Fabric: 37% polyester, 60% nylon

Height: 7.5″

To complete the Signature kit look, the company furnished me with a pair of the Silhouette-Cloudy patterned socks. The fabric has enough compression to keep the socks from falling, and the 7.5″ cuff height is perfect coverage. The soft, breathable yarn wicks moisture away, keeping your feet comfortable and dry.

Note, while the sizing only goes up to 10, I wear a women’s 12, and the socks fit just fine.
