Get on the Road to Muscle Recovery

The Horsey Hundred is every Memorial Day weekend in the Lexington, Kentucky, area. If you haven’t ridden this invitational, I can highly recommend it—rolling hills through quiet roads flanked by beautiful horse farms.

There is a vendor expo held in conjunction with the weekend ride. It is there I found the JAWKU booth. The rep had a variety of JAWKU products available to test onsite. I was particularly impressed with their different massage guns. However, I asked to test the Mini since it is a good price point for our RBR audience.

As with other muscle massage products, it is beneficial to use them pre- and post-workout to increase the range of motion and flexibility and improve blood flow. Coming in at 1 pound, the Mini is great for travel. The included hard shell zippered case easily fits into a day bag or luggage.

The lightweight, small size, and rubber coating of the Mini’s body combine to provide a comfortable grip. You can dial in the perfect massage with four massage heads and three speed settings. Go “lighter” at 1600 percussions/minute or full force at 2800. At 40 decibels, the Mini is quiet enough that I don’t have to turn up the TV volume. Yep, it’s a perfect time to self-massage: while watching the evening news.

There are four heads to choose from and swap on / off easily

The massage heads swap out quickly, letting you select the desired muscle groups and massage intensities. The flat head is used for relaxation, whereas the round head is suitable for large muscle groups like arms, waist, hips, thighs, and calves. A head with granules or little nodules is ideal for both large and small muscle groups. Lastly, the trigger point head is perfect for a deep tissue massage and those pesky knots.

Bottom line

Keep riding strong by adding the JAWKU Blaster Mini massage gun to your arsenal. It improves flexibility and blood flow while reducing sore muscles. I’m heading to Michigan for a weekend of riding and will bring it along. It will help my muscles pre- and post-ride and after the long drive from Chicago.

I have to disagree with this statement. I actually have a mini massage gun from Jawku. From my past my past experience with other cheaper massage guns from Amazon, the Jawku’s power is better than some of the full size ones that say there units are more powerful. I am happy they are actually getting some recognition as I have had communications with their team in the past and they are very responsive as well compared to other ones I have delt with.
