Today’s pair of QTs comes to us from long-time Premium Member Russ Starke, who writes:
Two Quick Tip ideas. We had the wettest May ever in central Virginia, with the high humidity causing lots of fogging issues for glasses.
Here’s an old SCUBA trick to help with that: Use regular toothpaste (not gel) on the lenses. Rub it on and rinse off. However, be careful if you have fancy coatings on your lenses.
Idea No. 2 – Easy wind tunnel. Warm up well on a cool/cold morning. Find a long downhill and change positions as you ride, feeling where the cold air is hitting you. It’s a surprisingly effective way to maximize your aero position.
If you have an idea for a QT, fire away. We’re always looking for good info we can share with fellow roadies. We would love to hear from you with any suggestions you have. Contact us by clicking Quick Tips Ideas.
