Testimonial: Using a Remote Bike Fitting Professional Can Help

David M writes about his experience using a professional bike fitter for his Peloton bike to resolve his knee pain:

I’m a longtime runner, so when I purchased the Peloton bike over a year ago there was a very steep learning curve ahead of me. I read tons of articles and watched plenty of videos about the ideal spin bike setup. Despite my best research efforts and constant seat position tinkering, I was never able to get completely comfortable.

Even worse, I’ve dealt with knee pain after most of my Peloton rides. I recently decided I’d had enough and chose to work with a professional bike fitter. Unfortunately the coronavirus crisis meant that I’d have to go the remote bike fit route. The timing couldn’t have been better for me. Had I not searched for a remote bike fit during the crisis, I would have never come across Rick Schultz.

From our first phone call I knew that the remote nature of the fitting would not have an impact on the quality of the fitting. In the first few minutes of our conversation I knew that Rick was knowledgeable, articulate, and most importantly, cared about the positive outcome of the fitting. It felt like he cared as much about my knee pain as I did. With his very straightforward instructions, I filmed all the necessary video clips and uploaded them to the prescribed location.

Rick was extremely quick to analyze the first round of videos. Using his fitting technology, he gave me very precise changes to make to my seat setup. I never knew just how much of a difference a half a centimeter change in my seat height could make. Had I changed the seat height on my own I would’ve have made it way too high. When one’s ideal seat position is found in millimeters, the margin of error is way too small to leave it to chance. Leave it to a pro like Rick to ensure you’re perfectly set up.

Knowledgeable, patient, and responsive are the main words that come to mind when describing Rick. You will not regret hiring him for a remote bike fitting. Think about it as an investment in your long-term success on the bike. You’ll be so happy 10 years down the road that you made this decision (your knees will thank you, too).
