Quick Tip: Easily Organize Group Rides with Ride Alert App

Looking for some new riding friends? Or maybe a better way to organize your group rides that doesn’t involve dozens of group texts, emails or Facebook messages?

Try out the entirely free Ride Alert app on your phone. Once you install it and connect it to your Strava account, you can look and see which rides are planned near you, or plan your own and post it for others to find.

Riders can easily see the time and location of the ride, and you’ll get an idea of who is going to show up when they check in.

It’s a convenient solution that solves a lot of the hassles with both finding a ride and knowing who is going to show up.

This app works best if you live in or near a big city. In rural areas it’s all but useless, even if you’re connected to strava.

Our club has been looking for something like this, I’d like to see someone create/recommend such an app that doesn’t require a Strava account. A lot of people are not on Strava and it’s an extra step.
