Pirelli Releases New Tubeless Compatible All Season P Zero Race 4S TLR Tires

By Lars Hundley

Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli has announced the release of a new all-season road bicycle tire, the P Zero Race 4S TLR. Unlike the tube version, this tire is tubeless and designed to perform well in all weather conditions. The company makes these tires in its Milano-Bollate factory in Italy.

Pirelli used its patented SmartNET Silica compound to make the tread of this new tire. The SmartNET is a unique type of silica that aligns itself, a feature that comes with several benefits. One of the most notable advantages is that the material naturally interacts with water and cold temperatures, which results in better performance on wet or cold roads according to Pirelli’s claims.

The internal structure of the P Zero Race 4S TLR uses Pirelli’s SPEEDCORE technology. This technology, which includes an aramid layer that helps the tire hold air, reduces rolling resistance, and increases puncture protection. Pirelli first used this technology in the P ZERO Race TLR tire, another product made in the Milano-Bollate facility.

The combination of SmartNET Silica compound and SPEEDCORE technology allows the P Zero Race 4S TLR to roll smoothly on all types of surfaces, including wet roads typical of the colder months. However, cyclists can use this tire all year round.

The new P Zero Race 4S TLR is a suitable option for cyclists who want a high-performance tire that is suitable for both competitions and for training training. The tire offers the fast performance and high grip typical of Pirelli’s “Race” family of tires. It is available in sizes 28mm and 30mm, and the company plans to release the 32mm size soon.

The P Zero Race 4S TLR also has a 120 tpi nylon casing and a nylon breaker for added puncture protection. With this new tire, Pirelli aims to provide more grip, durability, and puncture resistance, especially in wet conditions.
