Not

  • Some might find the $230 price a little steep, but remember, this is a high-quality product, fits perfect and works perfect!

It’s still been warm in SoCal, so I’ve only been on a few rides with this jacket. Again, I am impressed with the quality of GORE. Always top quality and they pay attention to the small things, the details like just the right length sleeves and a back flap that is just long enough to keep the wet and cold out but not long enough to get hung up on the saddle.

This jacket is lightweight, just 205 gm (7.25oz) for size Large. It provides just the right amount of warmth and is ideal for the upcoming spring (and hopefully wet) rides in SoCal. Several mornings it got down into the high 30’s but, typical SoCal, it warms up quickly often hitting 75°F by mid-day. Once the morning warms, the jacket folds easily and stores easily in a jersey pocket.

Easy maintenance, just throw in the washer with the rest of your cycling clothes making sure that your washer is set to Warm -Delicate.

How Did It Work?

Lightweight, waterproof, breathable that has a 3-layer stretchy material. Long sleeves ensure the arms and wrists stay covered, a longer back keeps water off your rear. Stow pocket has plenty of room for essentials including cell phone. Front zipper with integrated wind-flap to keep out the wet and cold. Elasticized silicon gripper on hem. Everything you need in a lightweight springtime jacket!

Note: This is a slim fit, so it won’t fit everyone. For most wear just wear a base layer underneath or just a jersey.

I’m giving this a 5/5-star rating finding nothing of technical concern or issue.

Another highly recommended GORE product!
