Perfect Bike Rack for Any Size Wheel

Yes, I’m a firm believer in the N+1 rule, but storage can become an issue. Currently I own 4 bikes and all have different size tires. From 23mm road bike to a 32mm cross bike to a 5” fat tire. Hanging the two road bikes and cross bike by hooks from the garage ceiling isn’t too bad, but I struggled to find a convenient way to store my fat tire bike. That’s until I was roaming the isles of CABDA (Chicago Area Bicycle Dealers Association) on Valentine’s day. I came across the Delta Cycle booth and saw their Shop Rack. It was exactly what I had been looking for and more!

Simple to Assemble

The Shop Rack literally took me less than 5 minutes to assemble. The one-page instructions were easy to follow and with only a few parts, it was really a no brainer. It took longer for me to go downstairs in the basement and get a Phillips screwdriver, then it did to assemble the rack.

Fits Any Size

The arms of the rack slide in and out to adjust to any size wheel. Just slightly loosen the thumb screws and slide the arm in or out. No tools required to make an adjustment. The wide base of the rack keeps even my fat bike upright and use either the front or rear wheel to rack a bike. I bumped the bike a few times to see how stable it

was and it would require some effort to tip over. The four rubber feet on the ends of the rack keep it from sliding and won’t scratch the floor.  Note there is a version with wheels but that is more for use in a shop than your home.

More Than Just Storage

If you do not own a work stand, you can use the Shop Rack bicycle rack for basic bike maintenance or to wash your bike. The rack is compact and light weight (4 lbs.), I can see throwing it in the back of my SUV and use it to hold my bike at the start or end of a ride, rather than leaning it up against my car or laying it on the ground. I have too many scratches already on the side of my car from leaning my bike against it.

Bottom Line

Delta Cycle’s Shop Rack is a great value at $34.99 since it fits any size wheel. I can use it for all my bikes: road, cross and fat tire. The thumb screws make it easy to adjust the rack for wheel width…no tools required. It also makes a great stand for washing your bike or minor maintenance.
