There’s now a chill in the air as I start my morning fall rides in Chicago. The temperature fluctuates from chilly starts to milder mid-50s by the end of my ride. I’ve been testing the new UMA GT bib tights from ASSOS for several weeks now, and they’ve quickly become a favorite for cooler weather. ASSOS recently launched these bibs as part of its “There is no off switch” campaign. Yep, I’m just not ready to head into the basement or hang up my cleats for the season. Read more.


How to Avoid Bone Density Loss from Cycling

QUESTION:  I’m a 45 year old male that has been riding 4-5 days a week for the last 7 or 8 years consistantly. My concern is that as I age I am losing bone density based on the fact that I’m participating in a non-load bearing activity.  If I don’t do any other activities should I consider vitamin supplements or should I pick up a load-bearing activity like running? — Bill B.
