Cycology Launches a Unique Line of Shoe Covers
Known for their bold and beautiful kits, Cyclogy has launched a line of shoe covers that are just as unique and eye-catching. But what sets them apart is not just their design but also how you put them on. Unlike other brands that use Velcro or a zipper, Cycology has taken a different approach. They even provide a hang tag with instructions and a helpful YouTube video. Here is how they work:
- Put cycling socks on
- Put shoe cover on top of sock
- Put cycling shoes on
- Stretch shoe cover over toe and heel and join Velcro
- Ensure Velcro is clear of the cleat and the shoe cover does not cover heel/toe pads
- Get out and ride!
I was a little puzzled when I initially received a pair to review, but the instructions made it clear and easy to follow. It’s a smart move by Cycology to provide instructions to ensure their customers have a seamless experience.
These covers are stylish and practical and made from a blend of 30% PU, 65% Polyester, 5% Spandex. They are windproof, water-resistant, and warm. I tested them in temperatures ranging from 40s to 50s F for rides lasting 1.5 to 3 hours, and my toes stayed comfortably warm throughout.
Add a Splash of Color to your Ride
There are six colors and patterns to pick from, which pair nicely with corresponding Cycology kits and accessories. For those who love matchy matchy, you’ll be all over these. Cycology has even added a reflective strip down the back for enhanced visibility in low-light conditions.
Versatile Fit for Road or MTB Shoes
The versatile shoe covers work well over road shoes with three-bolt cleats and MTB with two-bolt cleats. The snug fit required me to size up since I wear between a 45 and 46 EU shoe, but it was easy to slip on and secure quickly.
Velcro strap secures the shoe cover and fits road and MTB shoes.
Bottom Line
Cycology continues to push the boundaries with its unconventional designs, and its shoe covers are no exception. They offer great fit and functionality. At $34.95, they are affordable, especially if you don’t want to invest in separate foul or cold-weather cycling shoes.

I always wear out my shoe covers on the bottom edge, where they shred with time from contact with the ground. When a company solves this problem I’ll gladly pay them more than I do for the cheapest-possible-replacement versions I buy now.
