Editor’s Note: I – and the regular voices that come to you each week in RBR Newsletter – are certainly not in it for the money. We’re doing our little bit to support cycling in the best way that we can. But we can’t do that without you. Our Premium Members – and their financial support – are the lifeblood that keeps RBR going. In their own words, here’s why 2 Premium Members support us with a few dollars annually. We hope you’ll consider doing the same.—John Marsh
John,
Thank you for the reminder on why I support your site. I have been a Premium Member for several years and have subscribed to the RBR Newsletter as far back as when Ed was running the site.
The Newsletter and articles are really helpful and I look forward to them every week. I love the fact that the information is directed towards those of us who enjoy riding and want to enjoy it even more, not information that is directed solely to the competitive rider. (Although, I think most of us are pretty competitive with ourselves!) The pieces on the equipment that you and the contributors use are awesome. Much more helpful than the reviews I normally see online.
The several eArticles and eBooks that I have purchased have been well worth it. Good information that is immediately applicable. My best purchase through your sponsors has no doubt been the Kontact Saddle, I absolutely LOVE IT. The most comfortable seat I have ever used.
Thank you for all you and your contributors do! Rest assured, the money for my Premium Membership more than pays for itself every year. —Jason Vian
Quick Note: As a Premium Member, one of the coolest benefits is direct access to RBR’s coaches and contributors. If you have a specific cycling-related question you can’t find an answer to on our site, just ask us directly. We call it Ask RBR a Question.
But in the spirit of supporting our fellow riders that is the bedrock of RBR, we often answer questions from non-Members as well. In fact, Jim Langley‘s Tech Talk column today was the answer to a recent question from reader Andrew Kundrat. After Jim responded, Andrew decided to join as a Premium Member. Read on:
John,
I can see how hard you all work just from my discovery of your site and the content of your no-charge Newsletter. I had come to the conclusion this morning that your one gratis personal answer alone was worth the upgrade to Premium Membership.
I am late middle aged and have become enthusiastic about road cycling in my recent resurgence of cycling interest (5 years and 40 pounds ago, 75 to 100 miles per week – also not easy when you’re a working stiff). The RBR site has a rather complete spectrum of technical, fitness and lifestyle advice for a wide range of skills.
Thank you, and continued good luck to you, as well. —Andrew Kundrat
