I am happy to announce the winners of our latest Premium Member Giveaway. As often as I can, I gladly accept quality cycling products to give away in drawings to Premiums as a way to say a big Thank You! for being the primary financial support that keeps RBR going.
We’ve given away such great prizes in the past as Catlike’s top-of-the-line Mixino helmet, a Magellan Cyclo 505 computer (that company’s best model), and today I’m pleased to announce the winners of yet more products that we have tested here at RBR, and use on a daily basis – Cycliq’s very cool Fly12 and Fly6 HD camera/lights. Here are the details of this super giveaway:
Grand prize: One lucky winner receives a Cycliq Fly12 front facing 1080p action camera and 400 lumen light combination PLUS a Cycliq Fly6 rear facing HD action camera and light combination. (That’s a package worth $518!)
2 other Lucky Winners: Each receives a Cycliq Fly6 rear facing HD action camera and light combination. (Each Fly6 goes for $169.)

Reminder: No More Facebook Account Commenting
Just a reminder: We’ve changed back to an open Commenting app that allows anyone to comment. No need to have a Facebook account. As I mentioned last week, it’s a change I’ve wanted to make for a long while but needed help on the technical side to get done.
I look forward to more readers commenting! (You got off to a good start last week. Thanks!)
And I hope this demonstrates that I’m willing to listen and make changes – and admit I make mistakes! – to make RBR better and a true community of roadies. RBR is OUR community of recreational roadies.
New eBook on Stretching and Core Strengthening for Cyclists on the Way
Finally, I’m pleased to announce that we’ll soon be publishing a new eBook written by Coach Rick Schultz and his daughter, Amy Schultz, who is getting her doctorate in physical therapy, and is herself an accomplished road cyclist – a fully illustrated guide titled Stretching and Core Strengthening for the Cyclist.
The book explains the “cycling” function of various muscles and muscle groups, and why both stretching and core strengthening are beneficial to cyclists. And it devotes over 25 pages to numerous stretches and techniques, and another 20+ to core strengthening exercises – all fully illustrated with photos of Amy demonstrating the proper technique for each stretch or exercise, along with a text description and suggested duration and reps for each.
Look for this terrific new, extremely useful and targeted eBook next week!
