Having read the same new study results as Gabe quotes, I’ve been more cautious recently. Stretching, yoga, and relaxation before bedtime give me about the same benefits for sleeping after hard and soreness-inducing workouts, which is when I’ve been most inclined to use NSAIDS.
I couldn’t agree more with Dave’s comment. Gentle yoga helps my muscles recover from a hard workout faster than any pill. I’m especially glad I don’t use NSAID’s after reading Dr. Mirkin’s article.
